On the 30 September 2020 the ESFA Customer Service Desk confirmed the following.
"Thank you for your enquiry. Our specialist team have confirmed that if you have ISO27001 in place from 2020/21, you will not need to meet the requirements of Cyber Essentials. "
This means that if your organisation already has the higher ISO27001 certification then you don't need the Cyber Essentials certification.
